Disability4Sport is a growing charity that uses sport to improve the life chances of people living with disability. We met the charity's founder Abigail Saxon just as the UK was opening up after the pandemic. The charity was in great need of a new look, which was even more pertinent as the impact of the pandemic meant that it became even more important to bring people out of their houses so they could start enjoying life again.
We created a logomark that captures a sense of unity and togetherness, whilst encouraging independence. Our contemporary logo replaced the existing logo which we felt to be unimaginative and cold, which was also visually inaccessible. Our ambition was to inject joy and energy into the brand and to encourage engagement and fostering the sense of ability rather than disability. We focused on bright colours and teamwork. The eventual mark is one that is both together but independent - the abstract huddle mark is united but also faces outwards. Disability4Sport seek to encourage bravery in their clients, whilst providing a supportive environment for them to grow their boundaries.
